As the name suggests, this mask was designed with babies and infants in mind. It is used together with NIV and nasal CPAP therapy. Professor Colin Sullivan is the brains behind the invention, having designed it to treat obstructive sleep apnea in infants.
As a result of treating hundreds of infants using CPAP, he has gained a wealth of knowledge in relation to treating the special needs of newborn babies. He combined this knowledge and that of CPAP and NIV therapy to create the Paediatric Concept Soft Nasal Mask.
The device is extremely light and comfortable. It is also easy to use thanks to its contoured design which makes it leak proof and ideal for infants to use.
One of its outstanding features is its softness. The mask is made out of soft material as the need for hard plastic parts was eliminated. The cushion is made out of the softest silicone which is able to self-support itself.
